Rooms for Hire at St George's Hall - Rooms are available to hire for Community, Public and Private Events

St George's Hall has a number of different rooms that are designed to meet a wide range of hirer requirements.

We regularly review our charges which are set at a level to help cover the operating and maintenance costs of the Hall.

St George's Hall is committed to encouraging voluntary and charitable organisations in and around Bewdley. Reduced rates are available for non-profit making community users, and we may also be able to offer sponsorship to reduce or offset hire charges. Please speak to the Hall Manager.

The hiring of additional rooms and facilities or the hire of the entire building may be negotiated. In those circumstances hire rates will be agreed at the time of reservation.

The Wyre and Severn Rooms

These rooms are on the first and second floors and measure 7.5 metres by 5.3 metres (24 feet x 17 feet) Each one can accommodate up to 30 people.

These rooms are ideal for meetings or small scale presentations with tables and chairs, or can be hired without furniture as a studio space for exercise classes etc.

The Main Hall

The Main Hall measures 18 metres by 8 metres (59 ft by 26 ft) and has a maximum standing capacity of 200 and seating for up to 150.

This space has a sprung floor and flexible staging. It is equipped with a powerful projector, large screen, surround sound system and fixed theatre lighting. These facilities can be hired at additional cost.

The Hall can be hired in conjunction with the adjacent Severn Room as an ante or "Green Room" and is generally let on a session basis.

The Community Café on the ground floor of St George's Hall is a welcoming area with excellent access for wheelchairs and buggies and open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm daily - closed on Sundays.

The café offers freshly brewed coffee, tea and other drinks and a wide selection of cakes.

It is run by volunteers and is an excellent place for meeting friends and for informal business meetings.

The café is also a licensed bar offering refreshments, including beers from the local brewery, during evening events.

All profits from the café are put back into the Hall to assist in the ongoing maintenance and expansion of the facilities.
